Live from the Womad festival

Cerys presents live from the Womad festival, where she joins Lopa Kothari of World on 3 to share an array of live music from Dom La Nena, Buika, the East Pointers and Bafula.

Cerys is live at WOMAD introducing listeners to the delights of this World of Music Arts and Dance which embraces music from all corners of the globe, as well as dance, drumming and cuisine.

We'll be bringing you live music from Dom La Nena, Buika, The East Pointers and Bafula.

First launched by Peter Gabriel in 1982, the World of Music Arts and Dance (WOMAD) festival has been held in Charlton Park in Malmesbury, Wiltshire, since 2007. This year's artists include Dom La Nena, Buika, George Clinton's Parliament/Funkadelic, Charles Bradley, Baaba Maal, John Grant, Hot 8 Brass Band and The Breath.

In the second half of the show, Cerys is heading over to the Charlie Gillett stage to join up with Lopa Kothari, the presenter of World on 3, and a festival audience. In a live simulcast on both Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music and Radio 3, Cerys and Lopa will share an array of live music that includes Brazil's Dom La Nena and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Introducing find Bafula.
