Johnnie hears 70s memories from Alan Gorrie of Average White Band.

Johnnie Walker is joined in conversation by Alan Gorrie.

Alan is one of the founding members of Average White Band, the Scottish group that rose to prominence during the 1970s with the Top 10 hit "Pick Up The Pieces". The group were largely influenced by American R&B artists like Marvin Gaye and James Brown and developed their own funk and R&B sound that has seen them enjoy a career spanning over forty years. Alan shares his memories of the decade with Johnnie.
