Keith Richards and Lissie

Keith Richards chats to Jo about his Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two documentary The Origin of the Species, and US singer-songwriter from Illinois Lissie performs live in session.

Keith Richards, the rock and roll icon and Rolling Stone chats to Jo on about his new documentary on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two - The Origin Of The Species. It's all part of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's My Generation season and looks at Keith's formative years during the post-war period, and an exploration of how they impacted his life, and influenced the 60s and the decades that followed. Plus Lissie, the American singer-songwriter from Illinois performs live in Session for Jo Whiley with music from her latest album - My Wild West. Lissie's two previous albums, 2010's Catching a Tiger and 2013's Back to Forever, both hit Top 20 in the UK charts with the former record going Gold. Her songs have been licensed for countless films and TV shows, topped numerous Best Of polls whilst 'The Longest Road,' a song she wrote with DJ Morgan Page was subsequently remixed by Deadmau5 and nominated for a 'Best Remixed Record' Grammy. Her new album, My Wild West, was recorded in Nashville with her producer Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses), her band in Ojai and executive producer Curt Schneider in his Studio City home and is considered to be her most personal album to date.
