Wild for flowers
Just occasionally, recording Science Café is a walk in the park. Or in this case, a walk in the beautiful meadows at Caeau Tan Y Bwlch on the Llyn Peninsula. To celebrate National Meadows Day, Adam Walton spends an idyllic afternoon  in the meadows with Plantlife's Botanical Specialist Dr Trevor Dines, who reveals his favourite flowers and orchids found on the reserve - and explains why meadows are cherished for their biodiversity.
Caeau Tan Y Bwlch is part of the managed Coronation Meadows scheme with an organised Butterfly Orchid count each year. This year, 4,499 were counted - the second highest number recorded ever! With Plantlife's Keep it Wild and Road Verge Campaigns well underway, there's hope we can give these beautiful, rare plants a blooming chance.ÌýÌýÌý
