Martyn Joseph and Maz O'Connor
Songwriters Martyn Joseph and Maz O'Connor talk to Mark about the Sweet Liberties project.
An hour of the best folk and acoustic music from Britain and beyond.
This week, songwriters Martyn Joseph and Maz O'Connor talk about the Sweet Liberties project and perform live.
Sweet Liberties brought together a group of top folk musicians to mark the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta and the 750th anniversary of the first English parliament.
Four songwriters - Nancy Kerr, Martyn Joseph, Sam Carter and Maz O'Connor - wrote new songs about the rights and liberties that people have fought to achieve and protect over the past eight centuries.
The musicians Patsy Reid and Nick Cooke complete the Sweet Liberties line-up, and they will perform live for the final time at the Folk By The Oak festival in Hertfordshire in July 2016. An album will be released on October 2016.
