Don Black plays songs that conjured an exotic world in the US a long way away when he was a child in east London.

Growing up in London's East End Don was always fascinated by songs that sang about San Francisco, Kalmazoo and Chatanooga, places with magical names that seemed to conjure up a glorious technicolour world were everything was perfect. So tonight we travel to some of those unreachable places across the Atlantic, from Broadway to Alabama, from Phoenix to Vermont, taking in Oklahoma, Manhattan,Memphis and Old Cape Cod whilst enjoying the view along Route 66.
