Star Act

It’s the smallest and least explored terrestrial planet in our Solar System, but on Monday, 9th May, Mercury will be in the cosmic spotlight when it crosses the face of the Sun. To celebrate the occasion, Science Café presenter, Adam Walton is learning more about this elusive little planet from astronomers in Wales. He talks to scientists whose work is linked to past and future spacecraft missions to Mercury - the Mariner 10, MESSENGER and forthcoming BepiColumbo missions. And he'll be getting advice on how best to follow the transit on the big day.
