Coast ventures to the farthest-flung reaches of the British Isles to explore Life Beyond the Edge.

Mark Horton is in Liverpool to meet an old friend. Brunel's famous ship, the Great Eastern, now lies beneath the mud, but Mark is resurrecting the story of her greatest triumph - how she conquered the Atlantic by connecting Britain's edge to America with 2,000 miles of telegraph wire.

And Andy Torbet is on the island of Lewis attempting to follow in the footsteps of the sea shepherds, a style of farming that is slowly dying out.
