Liam Logan enjoys a Big Breakfast and some good crack in Aghadowey, at the launch of the Ranken Cultural and Historical Society; while across the Atlantic in Maine, Mark Wilson finds out about the Ulster Scots who came there and helped build Fort Frederick at Pemaquid, and later built the meeting house at Harrington, where Mark discovers a gravestone to a man born in Belfast in 1716. Back home, Liam hears about the completion of the Ulster-Scots Education Project organised by Ulster University, and from it there’s a prize-winning poem with a wee taste of Japan involved.
