More about this programme
The Welsh Government is being urged to re-think its policy of giving prescriptions to people who are gluten intolerant.Β
Some politicians and doctors say the current system of prescribing gluten-free staple foods on the NHS to help those with coeliac diseaseΒ is βa poor use of timeβ.
TheyΒ advocate giving sufferers an annual allowance to help them cover the cost of the food instead.
But those with the conditionΒ warn against changing the current system, saying that prescriptions are a lifeline for sufferers β particularly those in rural or more deprived areas.
Presented by Nelli Bird.
