Loneliness

Over a million pensioners in the UK say that they haven’t spoken to a friend, neighbour or family member for at least a month. Aled Jones meets some of the residents of Wood Green Sheltered Housing in Gateshead. He discovers how the HenPower project, run by the charity Equal Arts, is using chickens to combat loneliness and transform lives.

Ann Widdecombe goes behind the scenes of filming for the latest series of Father Brown, the popular detective series based on the novels by GK Chesterton.

As well as meeting Mark Williams, who plays the title character, she also uncovers the lengths the production go to in ensuring the series is religiously accurate for its viewers.
