Matt Charman’s screenplay for ‘Bridge of Spies’ was nominated for a BAFTA yesterday. It was his first original screenplay, which he pitched by phone to Stephen Spielberg in November 2013, after a trip to the US to attend the opening of one of his plays. He is joining us live on the programme.

Armed police are to be moved to parts of Manchester where gang feud shootings have taken place, after a spate of attacks in the city.
