Paul Carrack, Dickensian and a Documentary on The Barrowlands

Janice Forsyth tunes into what is happening in the arts across Scotland, including Paul Carrack, Dickensian and a documentary on The Barrowlands, Glasgow's historic music venue.

Paul Carrack has a new album, a new single, Keep On Loving You, out next month as well as a UK tour starting in January, which kicks off in Edinburgh. He looks ahead to a busy New Year.

Dickensian is one of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's big festive television offerings- a 20 part mash up of Dickens plotlines that takes its inspiration from soaps. TV critic- and well-read Dickens enthusiast- Peter Ross gives us his verdict.

Scot: Lands is a pop up festival celebrating Edinburgh's Hogmanay. Creative organiser Pete Irvine and Vic Galloway, presenter of one of the 'lands', tell us more.

Talking of 'lands', Vic tells us about The Barrowlands, a documentary charting the life and times of the great Glasgow venue that's going to be broadcast on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland on Christmas Day.

Marty Goes to Hollywood: the film about what happened when one jobbing Scottish actor decided to attend, uninvited, the LA premiere of the film he'd had a bit part in. Marty Docherty and this film's directors tell us the story.

And we have more new writing for radio in another Little Drama.
