Stacey grows concerned at Shabnam's behaviour and later finds herself confiding in Linda. Babe has a surprise for the Carters, but it doesn't go down too well.

In the Albert Ronnie tells Vincent that she made sure there was no evidence that she killed Carl and refuses to allow him to threaten her family. Vincent tells her that if he doesn’t see her before he leaves at midday she is on her own. Sharon and Ben are in the kitchen when Phil bursts in on his crutches with a bag of alcohol. He has run over Dennis’s bike and left it in the backyard. Ronnie arrives as Ben leaves and she apologises to Sharon for not being there. She tells Sharon to go and work on the business and get out of the house for a bit while she looks after Phil and Dennis. Ronnie goes upstairs to talk to Phil about Vincent but he won’t listen so she tells him to shower and takes the alcohol from him. He gets out a bottle from his bed side table and sits on the stairs where he overhears Dennis telling Ronnie that Phil scares him.

They head to the shops to get food and Ian comes in looking for Kathy and Ben. He asks Phil why he didn’t tell him about his mum and Phil asks if he’s going to cry again. Ian tells him he can drink himself to death and leaves. Ronnie bumps into Roxy outside the café and tells her about Phil. Roxy tells her that she has asked Jack for Amy this Christmas so they can spend it with Dean as a proper family. When they return Phil is sat at the kitchen table and Dennis runs upstairs, afraid. Ronnie tells Phil that the family could be in danger and he tells her they would be better off if Carl had killed her. She meets Vincent in the Albert and tells him he has no power over her. He shows her that the conversation they had earlier was recorded. He pleads with her to step away from her family and save herself…

Stacey spots Shabnam buying a necklace from one of the market stalls and asks if she is free for a catch up later on. Shabnam says she’s feeling ill and heads home. She is shocked when Stacey arrives on her door step with honey and lemon. Stacey hears Jade calling down from upstairs and goes inside. Shabnam is having a supervised visit with Jade and her social worker, Fiona. Stacey doesn’t understand why Shabnam would hide this from her but Shabnam ushers her into the living room to join them. They play a game of cards and Fiona tells them that Jade needs to see the judge ahead of tomorrow’s hearing. Shabnam gives Jade the necklace she bought earlier and when Fiona steps out of the room for a moment Shabnam tells Jade that she can tell the judge that they have fun together. She asks about Dean and Shirley but Stacey tells her to stop. Once Jade and Fiona have left Shabnam asks Stacey to leave if she isn’t going to support her. Stacey goes to the Vic to try out hair styles for the wedding on Linda. Linda senses something is wrong and Stacey tells her about Shabnam and Jade. This leaves Linda in a predicament because she can’t keep this from Mick.

Elaine comes down to the bar with Mick and Linda’s charity calendar asking about the wedding details. Mick has an idea and suggests the Elaine helps with the Community Centre’s Christmas show. Mick opens a package as Aunt Babe comes in with Goosey Lucy, the goose, who she is planning to fatten up for Christmas. Mick tells her to get her out of the pub and throws the package in the bin. Linda retrieves it and he explains that it was a two person dog lead for him and Shirley to walk Lady Di. Later, Elaine announces that she will be directing Jack and the Beanstalk in the Community Centre and asks Babe if she could use Goosey Lucy in the show. Babe is keeping her on Patrick’s allotment but says no to Elaine’s idea. Linda is relieved that her mum will no longer be involved in the wedding planning and thanks Mick.

At the Beales’ Kathy prepares to go to court and Ben arrives just in time to go with them to the hearing. They return elated that she got two years suspended sentence. Ian suggests they go to the restaurant and celebrate properly. Ben goes to get changed but doesn’t return, sending Kathy a message saying something came up. Kathy is left disappointed.
