As EastEnders turns 30, we look back at some of the biggest stories from the past 12 months, with Scott Mills speaking to the young actors and actresses behind the issues of stillbirth, depression, epilepsy and coming out. We find out how the cast members prepared for their storylines and what they learned in the process.

We then hear from young people who have faced these challenges in real life. Scott asks about the realities of the soap storylines and what advice they'd give to their counterparts on screen.
