Prime Minister David Cameron andΜύ MP for Witney has written to the leader of Oxfordshire county council complaining about reductions to day care centres for the elderly, libraries and museums and about plans to close children's centres. Labour has written to the cabinet secretary Sir Jeremy Heywood suggesting David Cameron may have breached the ministerial code. The party's shadow minister without portfolio is Jonathan Ashworth.

Cash-strapped NHS trusts in England may be putting mental health patients at risk by introducing cheaper support in an attempt to balance their books, according a new report.
