The magazine for the deaf community. Clive Mason hosts a studio debate with deaf performers Ace Mahbaz, John Wilson and Rebecca-Anne Withey.
Clive Mason hosts a lively studio debate with well-known deaf performers Ace Mahbaz, John Wilson and Rebecca-Anne Withey to discuss the merits of their respective performing styles - Visual Vernacular, BSL Poetry and Sign Song. We also take an in-depth look at Visual Vernacular, the deaf performance style that is taking off rapidly in the UK. The evolution of BSL poetry is celebrated with a special performance from BSL poet Richard Carter, and film director Bim Ajadi shares some of the secrets behind one of the most successful deaf music videos of all time.
