David Eagleman, Newton Faulkner, Craig Hill, the Havana Film Festival and more

Neuroscientist David Eagleman talks about his new book, The Brain: The Story of You, plus Greg Pearson performs a live music session, and Craig Hill pops in to chat to Janice.

Janice is joined by David Eagleman: THE BRAIN' by David Eagleman will be published on 5th Nov 2015 (also ties into a tv series that will air on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ4 in January) This is the story of how your life shapes your brain, and how your brain shapes your life...

We'll also be talking about The Havana Film Festival with screenwriter Eirene Houston in Pacific Quay. The 1st Havana/Glasgow Film Festival kicked off on Friday 31st and runs until Sunday the 8th November.

Newton Faulkner will be on the show to chat about his new album & single. The album, "Human Love" will be released on the 20th November; the new single "Get Free" is available from the 13th of November - the same date he plays in Edinburgh.

Director David MacKenzie chats to Janice about the re-release of the Starred Up film music which has been reworked.

We'll have last week's single of the week "These Walls" performed live in session by Greg Pearson with another of his own songs and a cover of Lapsley's "Hurt Me."

Greg will be joined in the studio by Craig Hill who will chat about his autumn/winter tour of "Playing with my Selfie." It starts its Scottish leg on the 9th October. He plays the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock on the 17th.

We have our Vinyl Verdict... A Bonfire Night theme this week - either The Bangles with Eternal Flame or John Parr with St Elmo's Fire. Our listeners decide...

And Janice introduces her new Single of the Week - Plume of Feathers with their track "First Date.".
