John Mahar is the former drummer with punk-rock band, The Buzzcocks. He moved to the Western Isles a number of years ago and became fascinated with taking photographs of abandoned croft houses. His photographs are now being used in an exhibition called β€œThe Leaving ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ” project.

Dougie meets the epitome of a modern day Crofter. John Allan Mclellan has cattle on several crofts, runs a plant-hire and construction business and also owns a camping and caravan park.
