Liam Logan takes a run to Ballywalter for the first Ulster Scots festival put on in this part of the Ards. Liz Weir and Willie Cromie are here storytelling, and Risin’ Stour and the Donaghadee Fife and Drum Club are keeping the crowd entertained with their music. Liam hears how the festival came about, and has some crack with MC Ernie Dunbar. There’s a taste more from the low country when Darren Gibson shares a wheen of thoughts on autumn, then to mark National Poetry Day and this year’s theme of β€˜light’, or β€˜licht’ in Ulster Scots, there are poems from Wilson Burgess and James Fenton.
