Amid concerns cross-breeding is wiping out Welsh mountain ponies hundreds of semi-feral horses and ponies are being given a contraceptive vaccine. It's a new initiative and the aim ofis to reduce the number of foals being born on common land. One horse charity is concerned that too much cross-breeding is wiping out native Welsh Mountain Ponies. But with these ponies being semi-feral the vaccine has to be delivered by dart-gun so Rachael Garside joins the marksmen on Gelligaer Common in the hills above Caerphilly.

Sheep Tag Ap - we hear how technology is helping farmers to track their flock and know all about it using a mobile phone in the middle of a field.Β  Two young brothers who farm at Mallwyd, near Machynlleth, now carry detailed information about their 1300Β flock of sheep in their handΒ as they shepherd. Huw and Guto Jones say theΒ has cut the paperwork andΒ is more efficient for a busy farmer.

And growing garlic on Anglesey - it maybe a crop more associated with more mediterranean climes but that at on AngleseyΒ it's provided a lucrative farm diversification.Β
