English Music for the Brass Band
Frank Renton presents English music for brass band and pays tribute to the late Ernest Tomlinson.
The recent death of Ernest Tomlinson has highlighted the music of English composers for band who were, and sometimes still are the mainstay of the band world. Frank Renton presents a programme of classic English music by George Allan, the march king of the North East, the enigmatic and often brilliant Wilfred Heaton, contemporary masters Phillip Sparke and Elgar Howarth and of course Ernest Tomlinson himself.
