Judith Kerr

Judith Kerr

Judith Kerr has written and illustrated thirty books for children including ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea,’ ‘When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit’ and the ‘Mog Series.’ She was born in Germany and her father, Alfred Kerr, was also a writer - but the whole family had to flee in the 1930s when the Nazis came into power. As a Jewish family, they were an obvious target but thankfully, they escaped and Judith began a new life with her parents in England. As her life and career are celebrated at The Jewish Museum in London, Fern talks with this fascinating lady.
