Asian Network Prom

Bobby Friction presents the music of South Asia, from Bollywood to contemporary, with Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy, Benny Dayal, Palak Muchhal and the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Philharmonic.

2015 sees The Proms raising the bar once more by collaborating alongside six Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ national radio networks that include 6 music, Radio 1 and Radio 2. Bobby Friction kicks off the proceedings of this new series by presenting this specially curated Prom that coincides as part of the 50th anniversary this year of Asian programmes on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

In this programme the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Proms meet Bollywood. Indian singers Benny Dayal and Palak Muchhal perform alongside the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Philharmonic for a momentous occasion at The Royal Albert Hall.

Joining them for this very first Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Asian Network prom are British Asian DJ, songwriter and producer Naughty Boy and Brit winner Emeli Sande in an ingenious and harmonious meeting of sounds.
