Wednesday Profile: Louis de Bernieres

Janice Forsyth profiles Louis de Bernieres, author of Captain Corelli's Mandolin. Plus the book group meets to discuss James Robertson's The Testament of Gideon Mack.

This week's Wednesday Profile is with author Louis de Bernieres (Captain Corelli's Mandolin) who looks back at his life and career to date ahead of the publication of his latest work, The Dust That Falls From Dreams.

We hear what happened when ten of the UK's most brilliant female folk musicians took a unique opportunity to spend a week together on the Inner Hebridean isle of Eigg, making an album on the theme of separation.

The Janice Forsyth Show Book Group will be discussing James Robertson's modern Scottish classic, 2006's The Testament of Gideon Mack.

Rock n Roll Camp for Girls, Glasgow- Jude Stewart, organiser of the camp, tells us about the forthcoming summer school where girls aged 8-16 will participate in a week long summer school helping them to find their voices through musical workshops, films and rehearsals, finishing with a showcase performance.
