Liam
Logan is in the Ulster Scots Hub for a conference organised by the Ulster
University, on the theme of looking outwards and developing new networks for
Ulster Scots. We’ll hear the hamely tongue in a vintage recording of Charlie
Gillen reading a poem that shows how sometimes in life you have to choose
between love or money, then Billy Kennedy delivers the annual Whitelaw Reid
lecture, and launches his new booklet on the Scotch-Irish who helped create the
American psyche. Liam has another yarn with Bridget McNeill about our shared
Scots tongue, and to mark the 200th anniversary later this month of
a world changing conflict, Jim Malcolm sings his song Battle of Waterloo. Μύ
