A special edition live from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Foyer at Pacific Quay

Janice Forsyth presents a special edition for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music at the Quay and is joined by guests including actor Billy Boyd, who discusses his work and plays live with his band Beecake.

As part of 'Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Music at The Quay', Janice Forsyth presents a special edition of the programme live from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Foyer at Pacific Quay; she'll be 'Taking The Temperature of Scottish Cinema' with special guests including: Actor, Billy Boyd who will be discussing his work and performing live with his band 'Beecake'. Their new album,The World Of Things" released 15th June.

Later, he'll be joined by fellow actor, Iain Robertson and screenwriter Sergio Casci to talk about the opportunities available to people aspiring to work in cinema here in Scotland.

The 'Edinburgh International Film Festival' is about to get underway, so she'll also be hearing from the new artistic director, Mark Adams who will be joined by Alan Hunter - director of the Glasgow Film Festival!! They will get together to talk about the function of film festivals in Scotland.

Regular Critics, Siobhan Synnot and Alistair Harkness will be on hand to share their thoughts on this week's hottest films, including the highly anticipated, action-comedy, Spy, featuring rising star, Melissa McCarthy, documentary feature, Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films - the studio that unleashed a wide range of entertaining exploitation films in the 1980s, and 'Listen Up Philip' - the latest outing from Jason Schwartzman; a film which hearkens back to classic 'neurotic' comedies of '70s cinema.

All that and live music in session: from The Dunwells, and our house, band led by the redoubtable guitar maestro Ged Brockie.
