Paul Gambaccini blends digital tracks from the week's US charts of songs, albums, R&B, country and rock hits with LP and singles tracks from the last six decades.
Paul Gambaccini presents a review of the greatest hits from the US charts of 2014. Paul counts down the top ten best selling albums and singles of the year. He will also reveal the top three Adult R&B and Rock songs plus the top three most downloaded Country tracks.
The year's best selling album will be the victor of a two-way battle. The soundtrack album of 'Frozen' has dominated the year with sales of over 3.5 million. However, Taylor Swift's '1989' was released in November and sold two million in two weeks. Will it sell enough in the last days of the year to overtake 'Frozen'? On the singles side, Pharrell Williams has sold over 5.5 million copies of 'Happy', but he is pursued by Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor and Katy Perry with their big sellers.
Paul has all the facts and figures for America's Greatest Hits of 2014.
