Johnnie Walker hears 70s memories from singer-songwriter Don McLean.

After initially being rejected numerous times by record labels, the decade saw Don rise to international stardom with the release of "American Pie" in 1971. The seventies also saw his songs covered by the likes of Perry Como, and as well as becoming a big concert attraction, he inspired Roberta Flack's "Killing Me Softly With His Song".

Also on the show, Johnnie digs out some of the best of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ archive. Plus another listener helps to add a classic seven-inch single into Johnnie's Jukebox.
