Vanessa Feltz Live at the Hay Festival

Vanessa Feltz sits in for Jeremy Vine and broadcasts live from the Hay Festival, with guests including Sheila Hancock, Jon Ronson and Shaun Usher, founder of Letters of Note.

On Bank Holiday Monday, the Jeremy Vine Show - presented by Vanessa Feltz - broadcasts live from the event Bill Clinton described as "the Woodstock of the mind" - the prestigious Hay Festival of Literature and Arts.

Vanessa will look at what Hay is and why the festival has become so significant. She'll be joined by actress Sheila Hancock, who takes part in the Vine Show series: What Makes Us Human. Sheila will attempt to answer the question and tell us about her life and work.

We'll speak to Jon Ronson about public shaming. In the era of Twitter, are we more judgemental than ever? We'll talk to Shaun Usher, who started collecting some of the most exceptional letters ever written on a website that became so successful he turned it into a book called Letters of Note. We'll be joined by Jeremy Vine Show superstar from the Rhondda, Terry Walton. He tells us about the joy of the allotment. And live music will be provided by rising stars The People The Poet.
