Life post-Parliament: Glenda Jackson who made her decision to stand down a couple of years ago, and Jo Swinson and Mary Macleod who both lost their seats in the midst of the drama of the recent election, on life after the 2015 General Election.

Three years since she gave up her Commons seat, ex-MP, Louise Mensch gives advice on how to cope with the change. Journalists Gaby Hinsliff and Isabel Hardman reflect on the impact on UK politics of the loss of notable women MPs such as Anne Begg, Jo Swinson, Esther McVey and Lynne Featherstone.

On May 7th Tania Mathias won her Twickenham seat from Vince Cable. She talks to Jane about how her experience as a doctor is influencing her hopes and fears for her new role in national politic. And commentary throughout the programme comes from Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ political editor Allegra Stratton.

Life Post Parliament

As of May 8th Glenda Jackson, Jo Swinson and Mary Macleod were no longer MPs; the only difference being that Glenda Jackson had made her decision to leave the House of Commons a couple of years ago and Jo Swinson and Mary Macleod lost their seats in the drama of the election. The three of them discuss coming to terms with a life without Parliament.
