Kale was once considered cattle fodder.Β  Now it'sΒ sold asΒ human superfood and kale growers are struggling toΒ keep up with demand.

Dougie Vipond travels to the hills above Strathpeffer to meet kale grower Jo Hunt who could sell his crop three times over!

Trapping Controversy

The law allows crows and magpies to be trapped in certain circumstances, for example to protect gamebirds, song birds or crops.

But the RSPB are concerned that crow traps are being misused to illegally trap birds of prey. An allegation denied by gamekeepers and estates owners.

Euan finds out how the traps work and hears the arguments.
