Brian Matthew selects the very best of music from the 1960s including hits, rarities, EP and LP tracks, and all the stories behind the songs.
Kicking off with the very apt, Matthew and Son by Cat Stevens, Brian Matthew will be playing an eclectic mix of sixties music straight from the vaults of Phil 'The Collector' Swern.
This week we focus on the number one album 'Diana Ross & The Supremes Join The Temptations'. Brian will be playing two hits from the 1969 record, which is particularly famous for one of its instantly recognisable hit singles: 'I'm Gonna Make You Love Me.'
Listener requests being honoured this week bring music from The Searchers, Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas, Louis Armstrong, The Hollies, Helen Shapiro and Jim Dale.
