Pasquale Iannone sits in for Janice

Pasquale Iannone sits in for Janice Forsyth with live music from Will Young, author Stefan Mohamed talking about his teenage superhero novel, and the latest film reviews.

It's super-stars, super-heroes and super-jumpers all the way on the Culture Studio today.

Will Young will be live in the Culture Studio singing two songs from his brand new album.

Author Stefan Mohamed will be telling us about his debut novel, Bitter Sixteen, in which young Welsh lad, Stanly Bird, wakes up on his 16th birthday to discover he's a superhero.

We'll hear from the director of Dark Horse, the true story of the barmaid of a Welsh working men's club who decided to buy a race horse and run him in the Grand National.

And our superhero film critics, Hannah McGill and Alistair Harkness, will be turning their penetrating gazes on this week's big releases:

- Alan Rickman's French gardening flick, A Little Chaos;
- Kristian Levring's Danish Western, The Salvation;
- and the big screen adaptation of Tom Rob Smith's hit novel, Child 44, a tale of secret police and serial killers in Soviet-era Russia.
