Louise White sits in for Kaye Adams and is joined on the phone by Scottish Green Party co-convenor Patrick Harvie, who takes listeners' questions.

It's the first of six special phone-ins ahead of the General Election on May 7th. We'll have each of the Scottish Leaders from UKIP, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats, Labour and the SNP over the next 3 weeks. Today it's your chance to talk directly to the Scottish Green Party. Co-Convenor Patrick Harvie is with us for an hour from 9am to answer your questions on all of his party's policies ahead of the General Election

Did you have a birth plan? If you did it was probably largely thanks to Sheila Kitzinger. The author and social anthropologist passed away at the weekend after devoting her life to improving the childbirth experience for women across the world. Louise finds out to what extent has it been revolutionised and just how much better is it for women, compared to 50 years ago

Bloody Foreigners?
Our reporer Karen MacKenzie joins campaigners who are hoping that by reclaiming the phrase "Bloody Foreigners" they'll encourage migrants to help replenish supplies at blood banks and improve the public image of immigrants.

UK Labour published theirs yesterday, today it's the turn of the Conservatives along with Scottish Labour and the UK Green Party with plenty more to come across the week. Louise asks what do manifestos actually tell us, that we don't know already? What's their purpose? and how meaningful are they in a multi-party environment?
