Pianist, composer and humorist Richard Sisson presents music celebrating plant life, introducing an aria from Haydn's The Creation, set in the Garden of Eden.

Richard Sisson is a pianist, composer, music educator and humorist. Richard has been a regular contributor to Saturday Classics, producing over the course of a year four editions relating to the seasons. In the first of this series of two programmes, Richard will cover in an A-Z form, the entire world of flora. No form of plant life, great or small, will be omitted. And flora will not just be limited to traditional English or British gardens but will feature the spectrum of gardens, starting with an aria from The Creation, set in the Garden of Eden itself. Next week, fauna.
