Liam Logan takes a run to Portavogie, to hear from Elaine McFeeters about a new booklet on the village’s Ulster Scots history and heritage.

As this is the Valentine’s season, Liam has some crack with Carole Gilmore about the romance of sending cards, and β€˜Robert Burns’ himself recites one of his best-loved poems.

And at Queen’s University, Liam drops by a gathering where they bring to mind an Ulster Scots lad from Co Down whose thinking helped to create the land of the free.
