Marin Alsop

To mark International Women's Day, the first female conductor of Last Night of the Proms Marin Alsop introduces a selection of pieces that illustrate her life in music.

In 2013, Marin Alsop made history by becoming the first female conductor of the famous Last Night of the Proms. To mark International Women's Day on 8 March, Marin guides us through a selection of pieces that have defined her life in music so far, including works by Bernstein, Mahler, Brahms and Beethoven.
