Anti-Social Media
Chris Stark talks to Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams and other young people about their experiences of online bullying and the solutions they have found to it.
Social Media is a massive part of life. It can be a force for good - connecting people, building new friendships and providing entertainment that is everything from silly to inspirational.
But social media's constant presence and lack of face-to-face contact can make it very destructive when it is used negatively to bully, insult, ridicule and humiliate.
In this documentary, young people, both famous and not, share their real-life experiences of bullying online. There are contributions from Game Of Thrones star Maisie Williams, Olympic athlete Beth Tweddle and YouTuber Tomska. Presenter Chris Stark gathers a panel of anti-bullying and social media experts to hear the stories for the first time together and immediately give their thoughts and advice, in some way replicating the instant nature of social media abuse and how hard it is 'in the moment' to work out how to handle it.
