Living with Less

After a period of conspicuous consumption it seems as good a time as any to ask, how happy are you feeling,  how would you rate your satisfaction with life, your sense of wellbeing? Researcher Dr Teresa Belton has written a book, in which she argues that living with less can make you happier. She’ll be in the studio with Jane on Monday talking about her research. We want to hear from you too. Are your cupboards overflowing with stuff you don’t want? Have you got clothes you never wear? Are your children already bored with all the brand new plastic toys they were given at Christmas?  How much do you worry about the materialistic culture we live in? Have you recently made changes in order to live more modestly – through necessity or choice? Does retail therapy and stuff make you happy?  If not, what does?
