Sharleen Spiteri performs the new Texas single, Mark Ronson discusses his upcoming album Uptown Special, and Max Brooks discusses his new graphic novel, The Harlem Hellfighters.
Sharleen Spiteri, lead singer of rock band Texas, drops in to chat and perform a world exclusive acoustic version of the band's new single "Start a Family".
Max Brooks' graphic novel "World War Z" was turned into a film starring Brad Pitt. He's back with a new novel, "The Harlem Hellfighters". It tells the story of the US Army's 39th Infantry Regiment, a unit of African Americans who served in Europe during the First World War.
Music Producer and performer Mark Ronson's higly anticipated album Uptown Special is due for release in coming weeks and the album's lead single Uptown Funk is currently at number one in the UK charts for the the third week in a row. Ronson talks to The Culture Studio's Nicola Meighan about making the album in collaboration with Bruno Mars, Stevie Wonder and Scotland's own Hudson Mohawke.
