Gary O'Donoghue

Gary O’Donoghue was formerly Chief Political Correspondent for Radio 4, and has been a TV, radio and online journalist with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ for over twenty years. Currently reporting for the Today and PM programmes, across his career Gary has covered political news from Europe, the US, Africa and Asia, also presenting for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ World Service, In Touch and of course, Pick of the Week.

Gary lost his vision at the age of eight and being a man of many talents, he has previously played blind football for England. After reading Philosophy and Modern Languages at Oxford University, his first job was working for a braille production department. Gary will soon be making the move across the pond for the next two years, acting as the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ’s Washington Correspondent for the upcoming US election.
