Musical theatre legend Elaine Paige celebrates her 50 years in showbusiness with a special concert at the Royal Albert Hall with the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Concert Orchestra conducted by Chris Egan, special guest Gardar Thor Cortes and the Mountview Academy Theatre of Arts. The concert features music from throughout Elaine's career, including Memory from Cats, As If We Never Said Goodbye from 'Sunset Boulevard', Je Ne Regrette Rien from 'Piaf', I Know Him So Well from 'Chess' and Good Morning Starshine from 'Hair'.
Elaine Paige has made a major contribution to the modern musical, starring in numerous productions in the West End and on Broadway. She swept to fame with her award-winning performance as Eva PerΓ³n in Evita, before creating the roles of Grizabella in the original production of Cats, the classic song Memory becoming her signature, and Florence in Chess, featuring the record-breaking No. 1 hit I Know Him So Well with Barbara Dickson.
This show, recorded as part of Elaine's farewell tour, will encompass the Olivier winner's monumental career, including songs from the world of musical theatre and her hugely successful recording catalogue.
