The grandson of Fateh Ali Khan, the son of 'The Harmonium King' Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan and the nephew of the legendary Nusrat Fatheh Ali Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is from a family which is steeped in and has formed the history of Qawwali and Islamic Sufi music in the Indian sub-continent.
Despite his background Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has carved his own career as one of the foremost singers of popular Bollywood music. However in this exclusive performance for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Asian Network, recorded at the world famous Maida Vale Studios, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan returns to his roots to talk with Bobby Friction about his career, moving between Sufi and Bollywood, his life touring with his uncles band and to perform a selection of timeless Qawwali classics.
