The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Symphony Orchestra continues Afternoon on 3's Nordic and Baltic season with a concert of music given at its Maida Vale studios in June; Rumon Gamba conducts works by Brostrom, Alfven, and Larsson Gothe with solo piano interludes performed by Clare Hammond. There's also an Elgar theme running through the week, today featuring his Enigma Variations. Plus Ben Johnson sings Szymanowski's Love Songs of Hafiz, from the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Symphony Orchestra's new recording of Szymanowski music.
