In this exclusive three-part special for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Asian Network, renowned film lyricist Javed Akhtar narrates the story behind three of his biggest soundtracks.
In the second part, multi-award-winning Javed Akhtar gives us the inside track on what went into creating the music for the 1994 film '1942 A Love Story', which starred Anil Kapoor and Manisha Koirala.
Comprising of classics like 'Kuch Na Kaho', 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha' and 'Rhim Jhim Rhim Jhim', '1942 A Love Story' was one of years biggest selling soundtracks and featured the voices of Lata Mangeshkar, Kumar Sanu and Kavita Krishnamurthy.
Javed will talk about his working process, the inspiration behind the lyrics and his memories of collaborating with musical giant, the late music composer RD Burman and working with the films' director, Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
