Documentary series following vets across Scotland, as they tend to a wide variety of animals. In this programme, Marty the tiger gets root canal treatment.
This series takes viewers on a journey across Scotland following vets as they tend to animals from small to large to very wild. Stories of joy and stories of sadness as we meet all creatures great and small.
In this programme, Marty the male adult tiger at Highland Wildlife Park has toothache and needs treatment. So, how do you take 187 kilos of wild animal and give it root canal treatment? Well, local vet Jane Harley has to call in reinforcements to get the job done. Specialist dental vet Norman Johnson from North Berwick has to attend and so does specialist exotic animal vet Simon Girling from Edinburgh Zoo.
Back near Aberdeen, vet David MacKenzie is on A&E duty at VetsNow and has a beautiful Vizsla dog called Jack to treat - he has been hit by a car and has a series of injuries. Meanwhile in Wick, vet Iain MacLean visits a pig with a sore elbow. Darcy is grumbling in his sty as he is examined by Iain, but
Darcy's sister Holly has very different accommodation. She sleeps in the living room, which may not sound unusual until you realize she is now the size of a three seater sofa!
