Janice Forsyth meets the Shires and Ward Thomas, rising stars of British country music, plus she talks to authors Adrian Searle and Mary Costello.
The Shires and Ward Thomas- country duos making names for themselves on the mainstream music scene- join Janice to look forward to the joint gig they'll be performing in Glasgow next month.
Author Adrian Searle will be talking about his follow-up to Look Up Glasgow... Look Up Edinburgh - an exploration of the rooftops of Scotland's beautiful capital, which offers a seldom-seen look at an extraordinary architectural heritage.
Irish writer Mary Costello joins Janice to chat about her heart-breaking and evocative debut novel, Academy Street.
What do you get when you cross ancient pipe tunes with VJs (that's video jockeys) and electronica club night specialists from New Delhi? A unique mash up with electronic video jockey club act BLOT from Delhi and Stornoway traditional musician Iain Morrison that's closing Faclan, the Hebridean Book Festival, on Saturday. We meet the people behind it.
And we hear about a new venture - a psychic thriller set in Edinburgh which is being paid for by crowd-funding.
