Louise White asks listeners if they are tempted to dip into their pension pot.
TOPIC 1: REFERENDUM ON EUROPE
Nicola Sturgeon is to demand a veto for Scotland to block the UK quitting the EU, even if voters back withdrawal in a referendum. In a speech in Edinburgh tonight, the First Minister in waiting, will propose that the UK can only exit the EU if all four home nations back withdrawal in a referendum. Her party intends to table an amendment at Westminster effectively giving Sots the power to halt a British exit from Europe even if England, Wales and Northern Ireland vote to leave. Ms Sturgeon believes that the home nations should be protected from any enforced EU exit, if they did not vote for it.
Louise asks: Should Scotland have a veto over an EU exit?
TOPIC 2: PENSION POTS
One in eight people across the UK plan to cash in their entire pension pot next year after a decision by George Osborne to give pensioners 'complete freedom' to take as much as they want from their retirement savings. That's according to research by Ipsos Mori for The Times which also found that one in five pensioners would use part of the windfall to pay for a holiday, while 8% planned to buy a car. Mr Osborne has announced he was scrapping the current rules next April but fears are growing that the changes could lead to a new mis-selling scandal.
Louise asks: Are you tempted to dip into your pension pot?
