Mark Stephen and Euan McIlwraith with a special programme from Shetland.
This week we have a special edition of Out of Doors from Shetland. Mark goes in search of otters, we take a tour of the new RSPB visitor centre and hear about their work with red necked phalarope and storm petrels and, when it's too rough to go to sea, we take a look at the sea-life underwater instead. Euan hears about the historic Shetland Bus, there's a bird counting competition between the Youth Nature Volunteers and the Golden Oldies and Euan finds out why Shetland livestock is free of many diseases. There's a visit to Scotland's most northerly creamery for a taste of Shetland cheese and Shetland's enterprising answer to their glass mountain plus why plastics can be a danger to marine life and the strange tale of the Eagle Bairns. Out of Doors is on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland from 6.30am on Saturday and 1105 am on Sunday.
